Christmas Edition: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of my readers. I want to take a minute and let you know how much I appreciate all of you taking the time to read through my blogs/articles. Everyday I am amazed at the viewership that my Blog gets. Thank you SO Much. My wish for this Holiday season is for my readers/community to give a little bit back. I am challenging each and every one of you to help out someone less fortunate than you this Holiday season. It can be a small as cooking a meal for the senior citizen living next door to you. It could be donating clothes to a charity. It could be paying for the groceries of the person behind you at the grocery store. This is a challenge! I look forward to hearing your ideas and stories about giving back. Thank you again.
Let me remind you guys I will not be ranking the NFL s top 3 wide receivers. That would mean you wont find guys like Julio Jones, Aj Green, DeAndre Hopkins or Antoinio Brown the latter is out with an injury. Here are my Top 3 Wide receiver for week 16:
- Larry Fitzgerald Giants vs Cardinals — Larry Fitzgerald has been an elite wide receiver since he joined the league 14 years ago. He is on the verge of collecting 100 reception and amassing over 1000 yards on the season. Every week he gets a huge amount of targets no matter who the quarterback is. This week Larry is facing a Giants team that allows the 2nd most passing yards. This should signal good things for Larry and his quest for 100+ reception and 1000 yards receiving. Get him in your lineups.
- JuJu Smith-Schuster Steelers vs Texans — JuJu is stepping in for an injured Antonio Brown. While this likely means more targets for JuJu it is no guarantee that he will perform like Antonio Brown. Smith-Schuster is still a rookie and he struggles at time with consistency and other nuances of being an NFL wide receiver. The extra targets alone should bump up his production. By default he is the number 1 wide receiver on an offense that likes to throw the ball. Start JuJu with confidence.
- Tyreek Hill Dolphins vs Chiefs — Tyreek Hill has all world speed and that is in play in every single game. On the season Tyreek averages 15.6 yards per reception. He has 69 total reception for 1074 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. The Chiefs offense runs through Kareem Hunt right now but Tyreek HIll is the stretch the field wide receiver. Alex Smith has not been shy in trying to get the ball in Tyreeks hands. This dude is a play maker. This is an 816 blog so i may be a little biased in my ranking.
Keeland Cole Jaguars vs 49ers — Keeland Cole is another young player that is having to step up because of injuries to players ahead of him on the teams depth chart. Cole had a huge week last week, he caught 7 of 9 targets for 186 yards and a touchdown. That marks 3 straight weeks with a touchdown for Cole. He is turning into Blake Bortles most reliable wide receiver. Opportunity, trust of the quarterback, and facing a defense that does not pressure the quarterback makes Keeland Cole my sleeper.
T.Y. Hilton Colts vs Ravens — T.Y. Hilton has not had a big game in 5 weeks. In fact he has only had 3 games in which he went over 150 receiving yards. In the rest of the games played he has had 51 yards or less. This is the definition of boom or bust type player. I cannot bet my fantasy football championship on this much variance. T.Y. Hilton is any easy sit in my book.
And that is all the time I have for this week. I hope you guys enjoyed the blog/article, maybe you learned something maybe you didn’t. Either way I appreciate the you guys stopping by and reading Happy Holiday, and I hope you all win your fantasy football championship. I look forward to hearing from you. I would love to hear about your Christmas pay it forward plans. Please leave all question or comments in the box below, or get a hold of me through facebook or twitter.
