Sit/Starts Week 10 by Tom K.

Week 10 SIT/STARTS

Normally I would just list my sit/starts and write a few notes on them.  This week, I’m going to do thing a bit differently.  I reached out to some of 816podcasting.com followers and asked for any sit/start questions.  This was a huge success.  I received a ton of starting lineup questions.  In one forum, I received close to 50 question in less than an hour.  I will try to answer as many as I can.  Let’s get started…..

Adam Rice

After Thursday nite football, I need to hit a home run!  These are my choices.  David Njoku, Christian Kirk, Isaiah Crowell, LeSean McCoy.  Please Choose 1!

Thank you for the question Adam Rice.  I feel your pain!  In this circumstance, we are looking for players that will score multiple touchdowns.  Kirk has been relegated to #2 WR status.  5-7 targets every game.  Njoku has been a favorite target of Baker’s.  Crowell only receives about 13 touches a game.  McCoy is on a bad team.  I am looking to David Njoku.  Cleveland is facing a beat-up Falcons team that just allowed Vernon Davis to put up 11.2 ppr points.

Is Marquez Valdes-Scantling the real deal?

MVS- stands 6’4, weigh 206 lbs and ran a 4.37 forty at the combine.  Is he the real deal?  We’ll that depends on what you think the real deal means.  DaVante Adams is Aaron Rodgers favorite target, we all know that! But the Packers offense can support 2 or more pass catchers.  MVS has a huge opportunity with Cobb and Allison missing time with various injuries.  MVS has performed reasonable well so far this season. He is a big play threat at any point in the game.  He averages over 21 yards per catch.  I believe MVS has the physical tools to develop into a legitimate #1 Wr.  As for now he can be a very reliable #2.

Billy Wade

Pick 2,  Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, Austin Hooper, or John Ross.

John Ross is returning from an injury.  I need to see something before I sign off on starting him.  Golden Tate is now playing for the Eagles.  He needs to learn a new system and QB tendencies.  That takes time.  I am going to start Sterling Shepard and Austin Hooper.  Both have been reliable fantasy producers this season.

Josh Pug

Kenny Golladay or Christian Kirk and Matt Breida or Duke Johnson Jr.  .5 ppr

2 part question, I am happy to help out.  Kenny Golladay is my choice.  He is a large framed WR that has the ability to b e very good.  Kirk is a smaller, quicker WR that is depending on a rookie qb. Kenny G. Please.  Breida is also my choice.  He is the #1 back in SF and he catches passes.  Alfred Morris is the only other healthy back in SF, and he does not catch the ball well.  Duke is a great pass catcher, but he is not a force running the ball.  More opportunities leads to more points.  Matt Breida.

Who do I start Doug Baldwin vs Rams or Christian Kirk vs KC

Great question.  Baldwin is my clear choice.  Baldwin has the better Qb, better offense, better match up.  Kirk will have his days but his week its Baldwin.

Johnny Skarupa

Who do I start?  Kerryon Johnson, Jack Doyle, or Mike Davis.

They way I see this question, Kerryon and Doyle are the starters.  Mike Davis is the clear #2 in Seattle.  If Chris Carson were to miss time I would bump Doyle out and put Davis into my lineup.

Final Question

Anton Schaefer-Kehnert

Who do I start? Adrian Peterson vs TB or Kerryon Johnson at Chi

I’m going with “ALL DAY AP”.  He is facing a defense that just gave up 4 rushing TDS to Carolina Panthers.   Kerryon is facing a hungry Bears defense.  The Bears defense only allows 85 yards per game rushing.  Kerryon is also in a time share with both LeGarrette Blount (goalline) and Theo Riddick (pass catcher).  I would love to see what Kerryon can do with out all of these other backs.  But for now temper your expectations.

That’s all the time I have! thank you for the quick response also thank you for reading.
